Marriage and Family Programs

Family_cropped2Our Marriage and Family ministry is dedicated to strengthening marriages and families in our churches and community. Whether you are a couple preparing to enter into a marriage covenant, a married couple interested in strengthening your relationship, or a couple in crisis needing healing and growth in order to experience joy and peace in your relationship, we are here to help.

Women's Counseling 

By appointment only, for various issues such as depression, marital, family and relationship problems, anger management, identity issues, and dealing with fear and anxiety.  The Bible and other resources are used as a springboard to approach these issues.

Pre-Marriage Preparation--By appointment only.

2 Becoming 1--An eight-week small-group study designed to renew your marriage. Through this study you will learn how to experience permanent and fulfilling love, how to integrate the practical and spiritual sides of marriage, and how to transform a performance-based relationship into a relationship based on faith in God's Word.  

Empowering Couples--A six-week class designed to help married couples build on their strengths and empower their relationship to be more mutually satisfying. This class is based on the PREPARE-ENRICH Program, one of the most widely used couples programs in the world.  Through examples, reading and personal exercises, this class will help you do five basic things:
  • Identify your couple strengths
  • Build on and increase those strengths
  • Identify some of your stumbling blocks (issues, problems)
  • Learn how to turn stumbling blocks into building blocks
  • Bring something lasting to your marriage by developing a plan for continuing to build a stronger and more satisfying marriage.

 Pre-Marriage Mentor Training--A program that trains and equips married couples to serve as mentors to other newly married couples during the first two years of marriage. NOTE: This program is only offered through the local churches.
